Spanish natural gas and electrical energy utilities company Naturgy plans to inject 45 million euros ($51 million) in wind power construction project in Barásoain and Tirapu regions.

With these two new wind farms, eleven at the Barásoain wind farm and four at Tirapu, consisting of a total power of 49.5 megawatts (MW) and a total production of 155,000 MW per hour, Naturgy will create 300 jobs, produce enough electricity to power some 62,000 homes in the region.

The construction work the two wind farms, located around five municipalities of Navarre Añorbe, Artajona, Barásoain, Olóriz and Tirapu, begun and will have a total of 15 wind turbines that will have a combined total power of 49.5 MW and a total production of 155,000 MW hour per year.

The work started so far consist of land clearing and earthworks. Excavation and work on the foundations for the turbines will begin subsequently in order to finally start assembling the turbines. The first output from these wind farms is scheduled to take place in early July 2019.
