Toronto-based mobile device management startup, Springdel, has closed a $5 million Series A funding round led by Carbide Ventures with participation from Beyond Ventures. The investment will drive product development, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and declarative device management. Springdel's platform, Springmatic, empowers enterprises to control, secure, and enforce policies on various mobile devices. The focus on AI and declarative device management aims to offer a more proactive and intelligent solution, reducing downtime, enhancing security, and optimizing resource utilization. The funding will also support predictive maintenance, intelligent alerts, notifications, cognitive analytics, and reporting, as well as the startup's expansion in core markets and new partnerships.
