Skanska, a construction and development company headquartered in Sweden, has secured a contract amendment with Oregon Health & Science University for its Hospital Expansion Project in Portland, Oregon, U.S. The contract amendment amounts to $91 million and will contribute to Skanska's U.S. order bookings for the second quarter of 2023.
The amended contract involves exterior framing and cladding, roofing, fireproofing, patient lifts, and long lead electrical and mechanical equipment for the new hospital expansion building. The construction of this 50,000-square-meter, 14-story expansion project commenced in 2022 and is slated to be operational for patients in 2026. This development aligns with Skanska's commitment to delivering quality construction projects globally.
