Trelleborg, a Swedish renowned for manufacturing sealing systems for the aerospace sector, is slated to establish a new industrial unit at Midparc near Casablanca, Morocco. The 11 million euros ($11.8 million) investment project, spanning 7,800 square meters of land with 5,100 square meters of buildings, aims to create between one hundred fifty and two hundred direct jobs. Morocco’s Minister of Industry emphasized the significance of this move, marking the first time a Swedish investor specializing in aerospace sealing systems has ventured into Morocco, aiming to bolster the country’s industrial competitiveness and local integration.

Trelleborg Aerospace’s commercial unit president echoed the sentiment, underlining the company's commitment to bolstering Morocco’s aerospace infrastructure amidst the sector's rapid expansion, positioned to excel in manufacturing, maintenance, and operations. Morocco’s burgeoning aeronautic industry has attracted significant attention, with reports affirming its potential for growth.
