Swiss venture capital firm btov Partners has held the second close of its new btov Industrial Technologies Fund at 80 million euros ($90 million).
The firm raised the funds from industry, strategic backers, family offices, foundations, a number of banks, the European Investment Fund, and the management team itself.
btov Industrial Technologies Fund intends to commit in European startups specifically aimed at industrial applications.
These include cyber-physical security, electronics and photonics, artificial intelligence for industrial process optimization, industry 4.0, industrial internet of things, power generation and storage, as well as medical and quantum technologies.
