Swiss flavour and fragrance company Givaudan has inaugurated its flavours manufacturing facility in Pune, India with 400 crore rupees ($56 million) infusion.

Givaudan said that the new line will boost its capabilities in liquids compounding, powder blending, emulsions, process flavours and spray drying for the India, Nepal and Bangladesh markets.

Givaudan will collaborate more closely with its customers to deliver differentiated solutions and great taste experiences to the dynamic Indian market with the new facility.

The new facility, which complements Givaudan’s existing plant in Daman, is expected to employ about 200 people in the region.
