Taiwanese financial services company Chailease Holding Co. intends to inject 10 billion Taiwan dollar ($324.5 million) to expand its production capacity in solar power production this year.

Chailease said that the investments will be located in several places in Taiwan, including the Southern Taiwan Science Park and Hsinchu.

The investment plan was announced when a roof-top solar power facility located in a parking lot of the Hsinchu Science Park was opened on Monday. The new solar power facility will generate 1.3 million kilowatts per hour of electricity and cut carbon emission by about 725 metric tons.

As of the end of 2018, Chailease Holding has invested $648.9 million in solar power production.
