Texas Instruments, an American technology company that designs and manufactures semiconductors and various integrated circuits, has announced plans to open new semiconductor plant in Richardson.
The $3.1 billion plant is expected to increase the company's semiconductor production capacity and to add more products to its portfolio.
The company also noted it predicts that the new facility will employ up to 850 people and it will start constructing an 800-space parking garage near the plant.
Texas Instruments generates around $15.8 billion in revenue annually.
