UAE-based airliner Etihad Airways, part of aviation to travel company Etihad Aviation Group, has infused 252 crore rupees ($35.3 million) in Indian subsidiary Jet Airways.

Etihad Airways said that it acquired Jet Airways’ tickets via its loyalty programme company Jet Privilege while infusing funds.

Etihad holds 50.1 percent of Jet Privilege, while the remaining stake is owned by Jet.

With Etihad’s infusion, Jet Airways will settle down its $237.9 million loan for this financial year.
