AD Ports Group, a developer and regulator of ports headquartered in the UAE, has secured a twenty-year agreement with the Luanda Port Authority to modernize and manage the Luanda Port Terminal. The deal, facilitated through joint venture partnerships with Unicargas and Multiparques, involves a $251 million investment to upgrade the port’s infrastructure and services over the next three years. AD Ports Group, in collaboration with Unicargas, will acquire an 81 percent stake to manage terminal operations, while also holding a 90 percent stake in a joint venture with Multiparques focusing on port services and Angola's logistics market. This collaboration, aimed at enhancing global trade access, is part of a broader framework agreement signed in 2023 between AD Ports Group and the Angolan government to boost infrastructure development and economic expansion.

Luanda Port, handling 76 percent of Angola’s container and cargo volumes, is positioned to accommodate the country’s anticipated 3 percent annual growth in container traffic over the next decade. This partnership signifies a significant step towards modernizing Angola's infrastructure and fostering economic prosperity.
