UAE-based technology and sustainability-driven facilities management company Farnek has started construction of its new staff accommodation in Dubai Investments Park.

Farnek, part of Zurich-based Priora Group, will invest about 150 million Dirham ($41 million) to construct the new intelligent and environmentally-friendly building in Dubai South.

The 800 room facility will have the latest smart technology and energy, water and waste-efficient accommodation centre with features such as energy recovery ventilation and energy-efficient air-conditioning.

The new facility, which will house some 5,000 employees, will be completed by the summer of 2020.
