Anglian Water, a UK-based water supply and water recycling company, is planning to inject 490 million pounds ($622.9 million) into Suffolk, England.

The deal, which is part of Anglian Water's 2020 to 2025 plan to advance services in East Anglia, will have close to 50 percent of the funds set aside for advancements to go towards significantly reducing leakage across the county.

An additional $86.8 million will be invested into creating new interconnecting pipes which will be able to move water around the region more easily.

This investment is an endeavor to reduce the effect of droughts, with longer and drier summers expected to become more regular.
