Barclays Corporate Banking, a unit of UK investment bank and financial services company Barclays Plc., has announced that it is increasing its fund to 200 million pounds ($256 million).
The company is increasing the fund to help British television producers develop content for streaming services.
The fund has so far funded a series of Octonauts specials for UK-based television production and brand licensing company Silvergate Media.
Since the fund was set up, Barclays has supported indies such as the UK television production company Drama Republic, which received $23 million for its BBC/Netflix co-pro Black Earth Rising and Lime Pictures, which was helped on teen horse drama Free Rein.
