UK-based metals recovery company Jubilee Metals Group PLC has announced that it has acquired a chrome processing operation in South Africa (SA), increasing its processing capacity.
The assets consist all plant and equipment which can process over 75,000 tonnes of ore a month and are situated on the rich western bushveld complex. In addition, the deal includes chrome and platinum surface material above 1.8 million tonnes.
Jubilee acquired the assets from South African platinum mining company PlatCro Minerals Pty Ltd for 8.3 million pounds ($10.4 million).
The group said that the asset purchase repositions it in the chrome or platinum arena in South Africa.
