British perovskite solar technology company Oxford Photovoltaics (PV) has secured 31 million pounds ($41 million) in the initial portion of its Series D funding round.

The new funding includes a major new commitment from Goldwind and from existing shareholders including Equinor and Legal & General Capital.

Oxford PV plans to use the funding to move its perovskite-based solar cell technology into the commercial phase.

To date, the company has raised a total of $99.1 million in over nine funding rounds.
