UK’s The Weir Group plans extra $15 mln investment in U.S. Newton facility

UK-based engineering company The Weir Group intends to inject an extra $15 million in its Newton facility in Mississippi, U.S.

Weir Group said the investment is part of a total $50 million plan to support an additional 150 jobs at the ESCO division plant.

The expansion project is expected to be completed by August 2019.

The commitment in the facility is intended to boost the employee numbers to more than 400 when the investment plan is complete.
