UK-based data centre provider Virtus, unit of Singaporean rival ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, intends to construct five additional data centres across its London sites with a more than 500 million pounds ($645.7 million) infusion.

With the investment, Virtus Data Centres will launch five new data centres, as well as complete its existing four live sites in Slough, Enfield and Hayes over the next two years.

The five new sites, which will go live in 2019 and 2020, will increase 76 megawatts (MW) to Virtus’ London portfolio, doubling the total portfolio size to 145 MW.

Three new sites including London3, London9 and London10, will be launched at the Slough campus. The Stockley Park Campus will consist of London6 and London7.
