UK food major Moy Park has invested over 18 million euros ($24 million) across a number of its sites in Lincolnshire, including 12 million euros ( $16 million) in Grantham.

The deal forms part of the company’s ongoing strategic investment programme which is focused on enhancing operations across its agriculture and processing facilities, boosting production to a record 6 million birds per week in response to growing customer demand.

Moy Park said it is committed to continuing its investment in production facilities to ensure its ability to lead the industry in innovation, food safety, quality, and efficiency.  The company also said the investments in state of the art processes will enable it to take another large step forward as a business.

A $16 million deal is also underway at the company’s nearby Grantham facility which will see the installation of new, high-tech mixing and processing equipment as well as the creation of Moy Park’s first fully contained factory within the Grantham site.
