British video game developer Rebellion Developments is extending into film and television with the inauguration of a $100 million, 220,000 square foot studio, which will serve Rebellion’s upcoming motion picture projects.
The new studio features a number of sound stages big enough to accommodate television dramas and large-scale Hollywood productions.
Rebellion expects the new facility to bring in projects from all over the world, offering opportunity and income to many people in the industry, as well as local companies and services.
The new studio, located on the site of an old printing press just outside the historical city of Oxford, is forecasted to create as many as 500 new jobs in the prime location of Didcot.
