British photovoltaics (PV) company Oxford PV has raised a further 34 million pounds ($43 million) in Series D financing round.

With the new capital raised, Oxford PV will accelerate marketing and also move into manufacturing.

The new funding, which has brought Oxford PV's funding raised to date to $81.4 million, was made by PV equipment supplier Meyer Burger and was joined by new and existing investors.

In March, Oxford PV had secured $38.8 million in the first close of the Series D funding round.
