U.S.-based aerospace metal parts maker Acutec is planning to build an additional 70,000 square feet of manufacturing space at its business park.

The company intends to construct new space with raw material storage and some manufacturing cells with operations commencing in February and expect it to be fully occupied in time.

Acutec is investing at least $10.7 million of its own funds to add the new computer numerical control (CNC) production equipment and hire about 50 to 60 employees as part of the project.

With its continued growth by the aerospace industry, Acutec will add another 20 to 30 CNC machines to the current total of more than 250.
