U.S.-based AEye, an autonomous vehicles vision hardware, software and algorithms platform, has concluded $40 million in the second close of its Series B funding.

Led by Taiwania Capital, the round also had participation from existing investors U.S.-based investment firm Kleiner Perkins, Intel Capital, Airbus Ventures, R7 Partners, Hella Ventures.

The net proceeds will be used for scaling AEye’s operations to meet global demand for its artificial perception systems for both advanced driver-assistance systems and Mobility solutions.

AEye, Inc. has raised a total of $59.1 million in funding over three rounds.
