U.S. vision hardware, software and algorithms developer AEye has revealed that it secured $40 million in a Series B funding round.

The funds will be used to scale AEye’s operations to meet global demand for the company’s artificial perception systems for autonomous vehicles.

The round was led by Taiwania Capital with participation from existing investors Kleiner Perkins, Intel Capital, Airbus Ventures and Tychee Partners also participated.

The Series B round brings AEye’s total funding to over $61 million.
