California-based technology giant Apple has announced that it intends to infuse $10 billion in U.S. data centers over the next five years, including $4.5 billion in the next two years.

The company’s data centers in  Arizona, North Carolina and Nevada are currently being extended. Arrangements are underway for Apple’s newest data center in Waukee in Dallas County, Iowa.

Furthermore, Apple revealed a major extension of its operations in Austin, including a commitment of $1 billion to construct a new campus in North Austin. The expansion project covers a year of continued job creation.

The company is also constructing new sites in San Diego, Seattle and Culver City, California and extending in cities across the U.S. including New York, Pittsburgh and Boulder, Colorado over the next three years, with the plan for further extension elsewhere in the U.S. over time.
