U.S.-based mountains and ski areas operator Aspen Skiing Co. intends to construct an affordable-housing complex in the western Colorado town of Basalt with $15 million investment.
The new complex will consist of 36 units and a total of 148 bedrooms, where some of the units would be reserved for workers in Basalt.
Aspen Skiing, which has about 700 beds in its worker housing inventory, expects to add more new workers.
The company presented its project application to Basalt officials and construction works will begin in 2019 and 2020.
