Florida-based Atlas Renewable Energy, a solar generation platform formed by the private investment firm Actis, has secured a $152 million long-term financing for three of its solar energy plants in Brazil.

This financing was achieved via Banco do Nordeste, backed by an equivalent sum of commercial bank guarantees from BTG Pactual, Banco ABC Brasil, and Banco Bradesco.

The three solar projects, located in the northeast area of Brazil, will have an installed generation capacity of 300 megawatts.

The combined energy, generated by the three installations, is anticipated to provide clean energy for 470,000 families annually.
