U.S. business to business payment network company AvidXchange intends to infuse a total of $41 million in the extension project of its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the next five years.

The project is expected to create over 1,220 jobs in the region. The state's Economic Investment Committee authorized $19.6 million in incentives for the expansion.

The company will also get a combined $3.3 million in incentives from the city and county, along with $1.7 million from the North Carolina Community College System.

In June, AvidXchange inaugurated a second headquarters in Sandy, Utah, which includes a $35 million, 30,000-square-foot operations center with showers, gym, gaming areas and wellness rooms, among other features.
