U.S. Bristow Group buys Columbia Helicopters in $560 million deal

U.S. aircraft manufacturing and operating company Columbia Helicopters has been bought by industrial aviation and helicopter service provider Bristow Group in a transaction worth about $560 million.

Columbia Helicopters will operate as a standalone subsidiary of Bristow Group.

Together, Columbia Helicopters and Bristow Group will have 304 operating aircraft.

The deal is expected to close on December 31, 2018.
