A fund managed by U.S.-based CBRE Global Investors, a real estate investment management firm, has acquired a historic office building in San Francisco.

Located at 123 Townsend St., within the SoMa neighborhood, the asset, which has common-area amenities including a fitness center, bike storage, and rooftop deck, is just off Interstate 80.

CBRE Global Investors' fund purchased the 137,625-square-foot historic brick-and-timber property from Manchester Capital Management for a total purchase price of $140 million.

Constructed in 1903, the six-story property underwent a full renovation in 2000, which included seismic structural upgrades, a new roof, and the addition of elevators and skylights.
