U.S.-based private equity investment firm CCMP Capital Advisors LP. announced that its affiliates have agreed to take over Canadian facilities management (FM) company BGIS.

Bermuda-based investment firm Brookfield Business Partners, part of Brookfield Asset Management, will divest BGIS for approximately $1 billion.

The transaction will be completed by the second quarter of 2019, subject to customary closing conditions.

U.S. law firm Ropes & Gray LLP and McCarthy Tétrault LLP are acting as legal counsel and Morgan Stanley is serving as financial advisor to CCMP on the deal.
