U.S.-based cheese maker Cedar Valley Cheese is nearing to close on its expansion project at its cheese store with $15 million investment.

The expansion plan, which started last spring, includes a warehouse with cold and dry storage, shred room, freight consolidating space, offices, maintenance shop, employee area and quality control laboratory.

The project, expected to be completed at the end of the month, also involves new packaging equipment, robotic automation.

The current store expansion intends to shift from its behind-the-scenes operations to online shipping, storage and cheese cutting elements.
