U.S. hospital operator CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System plans to invest $43 million to extend CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The medical center project will be called the Highland 100 and will include advancements and upgrades such as rebuilding, moving and widening the size of the emergency room.

Other schemes include extending the cardiac cath laboratory, adding more inpatient rooms, adding a devoted entrance for cardiology patients, refurbishing waiting areas and patient rooms, and moving outpatient physical therapy to a convenient standalone facility.

CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center will still be operating while the building is taking place and the Highland 100 project is anticipated to be wrapped up at the end of 2020.
