U.S.-based Cisco Systems Inc., an information technology, networking and cybersecurity solutions company, plans to invest $15 million to extend its operations in Western Canada.

The company is making the investment to support new initiatives including the addition of new senior artificial intelligence jobs to support its Western Canada operations.

Cisco will also strengthen its collaboration with YYC Net Lab, a company which aims to provide cost-effective access to computer networking education for immigrant and Indigenous women.
