Chicago-based packaged foods company Conagra Brands’ manufacturing operation Conagra Foods is seeking to extend its meat snack business at the plant in Troy, Michigan.
Conagra Foods expects to add over 60,000 square feet to the plant amid a nearly $70 million infusion.
The facility manufactures packaged snack foods such as Slim Jim meat sticks, and the company is seeking to bolster production of another meat snack brand it recently purchased, Duke's.
The extension scheme is predicted to accommodate expanded production of the Duke's line and also create new jobs.
