U.S. commercial banking firm Cross River Bank announced that it has raised $100 million in funding round.

The round received $75 million equity commitment from U.S. investment firm KKR alongside new backers CreditEase and Lion Tree Partners, and existing backers Battery Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and Ribbit Capital.

Cross River will use the new funds to invest in its continued development by widening its technology and product development teams as well as its compliance infrastructure.

The funds will also help Cross River to continue developing and upgrading a complete banking platform where financial technology companies can leverage banking technology.
