U.S. retail pharmacy and health care company CVS Health Corp. has announced that it is nearing to wrap up its $69 billion acquisition of health care insurance company Aetna Inc.

Previously, CVS Health had expected the transaction to close by November 22.

CVS said that it had got a go-ahead from 26 of the 28 state departments of insurance and was in the final stages of the approval process with the two remaining states.

Annually, CVS Health generates revenue of $182.4 billion while Aetna generates $61.2 billion.
