U.S. paints and coatings manufacturer Diamond Vogel is planning a $24 million expansion to its Orange City campus.

This expansion is part of its Building on Success initiative with several major improvements planned. The initiative includes building a new research and development center, a new maintenance facility, an additional expansion of the powder coating manufacturing facility and upgrading existing office facilities.

Diamond Vogel worked with the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the city of Orange City on this project. The development board awarded the project about $2.4 million in tax benefits as part of the high-quality jobs program.

The company said that the project to update its Orange City campus will allow it to further its mission of delivering quality coating solutions distinctively to its customers. These expansions will lead to the creation of up to 155 jobs based on sales growth. The first phases of the Building on Success initiative will commence after January.
