U.S.-based Latino-focused digital media company Mitú has fetched a $10 million in funding round.

Mitú will commit the net proceeds in scaling its commerce business, improving its technology platforms, and expanding into new content areas.

This latest funding round was led by U.S.-based venture capital firm Leap Global Partners and included investors such as Upfront Ventures, UK-based marketing firm WPP, and Verizon Ventures.

Since inception, Mitú has raised $52 million to date in funding.
