U.S. user-centric advanced mobility company Faraday Future has entered into a new 50/50 joint venture (JV) partnership with Chinese online game operator The9.

The9 said that it is willing to contribute up to $600 million to the joint venture.

Faraday Future intends to use the money to make a new car in China called the V9  and for the Chinese market.

The new car will be based on the FF91, the ultra-luxury electric sports utility vehicle that Faraday Future launched at Consumer Electronics Show 2017. The9 and Faraday Future said they will be able to make 300,000 cars per year.
