U.S. healthcare system company Geisinger Health System and peer Highmark Health have created a joint venture (JV) to advance services in north-central Pennsylvania.
Geisinger and Highmark said that they will invest over $100 million in the new joint venture.
The new JV will create new healthcare facilities in four counties and work with independent physicians as well as implement value-based care models.
A healthplex in Muncy Township, one of the new facilities, will include a full-service emergency department, oncology, surgery and primary care services.
