Japan's ABEJA raises $53 mln to date, expects investment from Google

U.S. technology giant Google is planning to invest in ABEJA, a Japanese artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning firm.

ABEJA said that following the investment, ABEJA and Google will partner on AI and machine learning solutions across various sectors.

The firm added that the sectors will include retail and manufacturing, driving the application of AI solutions, along with further development in the Japanese artificial intelligence sector.

To date, ABEJA has secured $53 million from backers.
