U.S. HealthStream, an internet-based learning and research solutions provider for healthcare organizations, has acquired healthcare software solutions provider Providigm for $18 million.
The purchase expands HealthStream’s network of education and training services into a sector that is being increasingly joined often via financial or regulatory pressures.
HealthStream has agreed to pay Providigm $500,000 more in a year and a half if Providigm reaches certain financial targets in addition to paying $18 million now.
HealthStream generates $234.5 million in revenue annually.
