New York-based Homeis, a digital platform for immigrant communities, revealed that it has bagged $12 million in Series A funding round.

The company has received the new funds from U.S. early-stage venture capital firm Canaan Partners and peer Spark Capital.

Homeis will use the proceeds in part to extend the communities it serves, with the goal of adding Hispanic and Latino communities in the U.S. later this year.

Additionally, the company, which has raised a total of $16 million in over three funding rounds, is also planning to use the new capital to expand to Europe in 2020.
