San Francisco-based InfluxData, an open-source time series database software company, has landed $60 million in Series D funding.

The round was anchored by U.S. venture and growth equity investment firm Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) with participation from Sorenson Capital, Sapphire Ventures, Battery Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Trinity Ventures and Harmony Partners.

With the net capital raised, InfluxData will further invest in product innovation especially cloud technologies, building out sales and marketing programs as well to meet growing product demand, as well as customer support needs.

Moreso, InfluxData is expecting to market its solutions for specific uses, including industrial internet of things and network monitoring, and target industries such as e-commerce, gaming and financial services.
