U.S. Innova Eco Building to construct $40 mln manufacturing plant in Kenya

Miami-based eco-friendly building system company Innova Eco Building System has entered into a joint venture agreement to construct a $40 million manufacturing plant at Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) in Western Kenya.

MMTC is 100 percent green city and is currently in the final phase 3 of the development set to be finalized in 2020.

The Innova factory at MMTC, the first of its kind in Africa, will start with one production line for insulated magnesium cement panels.

Two additional production lines will be shipped to MMTC in 2019 and will push the production capacity to thousands of units per year. The plant is a major milestone in Kenya and will lead to the building of spacious modern green affordable homes for Kenyans.
