U.S. InSinkErator debuts new $34 million HQ in Mount Pleasant

U.S. water dispensers and food waste disposal systems producer InSinkErator, a unit of engineering services provider Emerson Electric, has debuted its new $34 million, 87,000 square-foot headquarters (HQ) in Mount Pleasant.

The environmentally-efficient building will house 175 engineers and professional staff. The new headquarters and laboratories will ensure InSinkErator continues its industry leadership in food waste disposers.

InSinkErator said that the building is not only a modern, pleasant workspace; it is also a world-class technology center with on-site prototyping, advanced sound engineering facilities and unprecedented laboratory facilities for the company’s experts to create the future of InSinkErator.

The company also said that the new headquarters and laboratory building are designed to qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification, as well as to optimize productivity and collaboration.
