U.S. agricultural investment company International Farming Corp. has nabbed $404 million in its open-ended U.S. farmland fund.

The fund will buy and lease large-acreage U.S. farmland to large-scale tenants.

International Farming is seeking to collect over $1 billion in addition to the divestment of its entire offering of $1.5 billion.

Moreso, the fund will seek to generate current income and modest capital growth over the long term by investing in permanent farmland, diversified by region, crop operator, and related assets including irrigation and crop storage.
