U.S. j2 Global buys email marketing company iContact for $49 mln

U.S.-based cloud technology company j2 Global announced that it has bought email marketing company iContact from software company Cision Inc.

Under the pact, j2 Global paid $49 million in cash for iContact.

Cision said that the divestment of its email business enhances it to focus on its communications cloud platforms.

J2 Global has $1.2 billion in revenue annually.
