U.S. JBT completes $65 million acquisition of Prime Equipment

JBT Corp., a U.S. food processing machinery and airport equipment company, has paid $65 million to buy Prime Equipment Group, a machinery company providing poultry processing systems.

JBT said that with the addition of Prime’s primary processing capabilities, the company seeks to advance its aim of becoming the major provider of full-line solutions for poultry customers.

Recently, JBT closed on its acquisition of Proseal UK Ltd., a provider of tray sealing technology for the food industry, in a $279.2 million deal.

JBT also noted that both transactions are expected to add revenue of between $80 million and $85 million. Annually, Prime Equipment generates around $45 million in revenue.
