U.S. JNJ Logistics to invest $83.6 mln in its Memphis operations

U.S. transportation and logistics services provider JNJ Logistics LLC, a division of JNJ Express, plans to infuse a total of $83.6 million over five years in Memphis, Tennessee, and create 610 new jobs.

JNJ is relocating to a vacant Parkway Village shopping center from its current facility at 3935 Old Getwell Road. The investment includes a new $20.5 million headquarters, operations center, vehicle maintenance facility and cross dock.

The $20.5 million commitment includes a refurbishment of the existing shopping center and new construction on the 23.23-acre site. The headquarters will be in the center part of the old shopping center.

The new construction on the site will be the truck maintenance facility and with the move and expansion, the company will buy some new trucks.
